If you’re flying with Jet2.com soon, make sure you read the Jet2 luggage allowance to avoid any extra costs at the airport. Just as any other low cost airline, Jet2.com has strict rules about baggage allowance.
Jet2 Hand Luggage Allowance
The Jet2 baggage allowance includes one cabing onboard with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25 cm and a maximum weight of 10 kg. In addition, they now allow to carry on-board an additional small item (handbag, laptop bag or airport purchase) that can be placed either in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.
If you’re travelling with an infant between 6 and 24 months, you can also bring a car seat. Car seats should face front and must be properly secured on the aircraft seat. The standard dimensions of their seats are 24.5cm x 43.6cm x 70.5cm.
IMPORTANT: Every extra kilo will be charged with Jet2’s excess baggage fee of £12 at the airport.
Jet2 Checked Baggage Allowance
Jet2 doesn’t offer free checked baggage. You’ll have to book your additional bag online before arriving at the airport. If you decide to check your luggage at the airport, you will have to pay up to 80% more than during the booking process.
You may book up to three bags of up to 22kg per person, however you may combine the allowance if you have more than one bag. For e.g., if you pay for three bags of 22kg, you’re allowed to bring 66kg onboard. Just make sure your single bag isn’t over 32kg!
Price for Jet2 Baggage
The price to check baggage online starts at £8 and £45 at the airport. However, prices may increase as they depend on your destination.
Folding strollers and car seats with a maximum weight of 10kg (for both items) are carried free of charge in the hold.
