Daniel Burnham designed the modern city plan for Chicago in 1909. He was just one of the many famous architects to have lived and worked in the city. Burnham also designed the city's oldest standing high-rise, the Rookery Building (1888). Frank Lloyd Wright designed the atrium for this structure.
