Delhi is divided into two parts. Old Delhi is marked by its ancient monuments whilst New Delhi exhibits the European architectural influences of British Imperialism. Just as it is physically divided, the modern and traditional sentiments alive in Delhi make it a city of two halves. Western clothes and drinking culture co-exists with the social structures and values of the past, making Delhi all the more fascinating.
For the authentic experience, try to catch a festival while in Delhi.
