Rome can be accessed by two airports: Fiumicino or Ciampino. You can get to the city centre from Fiumicino by taxi, bus or train (30 minutes to Rome's Termini station). Tiburtina is the central bus station in Rome.

If you are flying to Ciampino, you can get to the centre by bus, taxi or metro. If you prefer, you can arrange car rental through Opodo.

Getting around in the centre

The metro line is fairly easy to navigate, with two lines A & B. You can also use the buses, although they can rather crowded. Remember to buy a ticket before you board and get it stamped in the machine when on the bus. Of course, you may prefer to walk everywhere instead so you don't miss any of the sights.
