Getting to and from the airport

Flights departing from Guernsey

Flights from Guernsey to Jersey take off from Guernsey Airport, which is a small international airport located on the island of Guernsey, about 5 kilometres from St. Peter Port. The flag carrier airline Aurigny has its base here. As did British United Airways at some point of its history.

This airport was opened in 1939 and a new terminal was constructed in 2004. This airport has only one runway and handles all the flights that land and take off at this airport, connecting the region with Europe and the United Kingdom.

Getting to Guernsey airport

To catch Guernsey to Jersey flights arrive at Guernsey Airport, located in the Forest Parish. The airport is within easy reach of St. Peter Port and a taxi will prove to be an easy way to travel; a taxi ride from St. Peter Port to the airport will cost you around £20. Another option is to take the bus from the port to the airport. As this is a small place, you will always find someone who will guide you to the nearest bus stop, from which you can take a bus to the airport. Definitely a more cost effective option than a taxi, but also more time consuming.

Arriving to Jersey

Jersey is a great tourist destination with all the benefits only an island can offer. It is located off the coast of Normandy in France and is a part of Great Britain. Start your journey at Saint Helier, a beautiful town known for its quaint architecture and culture. The city is famous for its Beresford Market, which is a great place to experience shopping on Jersey Island. Another option is to head toward Central Market. It has a very Victorian architecture and will transport you back in time. Your next stop should be 16 New Street, which used to be a Georgian townhouse but is now a very interesting museum.

How to get to the city centre

Flights to Jersey from Guernsey take less than half an hour to land at Jersey Airport. This airport is only 7 kilometres from Saint Helier and can be easily reached by bus or taxi.
