What must I do in Belfast?

Titanic Belfast is perhaps one of the best-known attractions in the city and the award-winning visitor experience is truly a must-see. It's the world's biggest Titanic visitor experience and marries up history with breathtaking architecture and scenery for a truly immersive experience. Visit Belfast Zoological gardens, which is one of the city's oldest visitor attractions and is packed with exotic species and exhibits. Enjoy a pint of Guinness in one of the many atmospheric Victorian saloons before pausing for lunch at an award-winning Irish restaurant or stopping for afternoon tea in one of the many grand hotels. The Big Fish on the River Lagan tells the story of the city and provides plenty of photo opportunities. From here you can walk the Maritime Mile towards the incredible Titanic Quarter. Don't forget to see the SS Nomadic, which is included in the price of your Titanic exhibition ticket. For a spot of retail, head over Queen's Bridge towards Victoria Square. This is the premier shopping area in Belfast, and you'll know that you're there from the iconic golden dome. In the evening you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, bars, theatre and live music. Just bear in mind that most of the nightclubs close at 1 am, although some do have a late license until 3 am if you fancy dancing the night away.

Where should I stay in Belfast?

When you need a hotel Belfast doesn't disappoint and there are a huge number to choose from, with plenty of excellent hotel deals. Many visitors will book a hotel in the central area to take advantage of the attractions, entertainment and culture on their doorstep, and this is a great call if you want to keep things within walking distance. If you fancy somewhere central but a little quieter, try the Cathedral Quarter which has a cultural and artsy vibe, with plenty of hotel deals. For a wide choice of cheap hotels, the student area of Queens is bohemian, lively and filled with excellent accommodation. The Titanic Quarter is also a good choice, and the recently renamed 'Gaeltacht Quarter' offers hotel deals in a largely Irish-speaking part of town for a slightly different feel.
