Flights departing from Birmingham

England's second largest city, Birmingham, is an important centre of manufacturing and industries. The city is served by Birmingham Airport, which is only 10 kilometres from the city centre in Bickenhill, Solihull.

Flights from Birmingham to Paris take off from Birmingham Airport, which was once used by the RAF and the Royal Navy. After World War II, the airport began civilian operations again and is now one of the busiest airports in England. The airport is connected by buses, coaches, taxis and trains so that passengers can reach it conveniently from various parts of Birmingham and the surrounding region.

You can either choose to take a coach or bus to reach the airport quickly. If you are around central Birmingham, take bus 900 to reach the airport quickly. Another option is to get on board one of the coaches run by National Express Coaches. For this, all you need to do is get to Birmingham Coach Station and take coach 777 or 422. A more luxurious and expensive way of getting to the airport is taking one of the black cabs.

Arriving to Paris

Paris is known for its vast culture and beautiful architecture. But there is no better way to understand this city's beauty than to visit its cafes. Begin your journey at Champs Elysees, which is a beautiful avenue lined with top fashion brands. Walk to le Marais, a bohemian district filled with a vivid atmosphere. If you are looking for a traditional Parisian coffee house, head towards Boulevard des Capucines, where you can walk into Cafe de la Paix. Les Deux Maggots is another cafe that is known for its intellectual visitors like Sartre. Be sure to enjoy a drink at the Hemingway Bar, which would be a fitting end to your journey.

How to get to the city centre

Flights to Paris from Birmingham may arrive at one of the four airports that serve the French capital. If your plane lands at Orly, take the RER B train or tramway T7 to reach central Paris.
