Getting to Liverpool airport

John Lennon Airport (LPL) is conveniently located about 12km southeast of the city centre. Ryanair, Jets2 and other major airlines operate connecting flights from Liverpool to Reus. Liverpool has a good transport network system, so it is easy to get to the airport from the city centre.

You can take a Traveline, National Rail or First TransPennine Express train to the rail station close to the airport, which is either Lime Street Station or Liverpool South Parkway. You can also take an Airlink 500 Express bus from the city centre to the airport terminal. Alternatively, you can avail a taxi or rental car from your location in the city to the airport.

Arriving to Reus

Situated in northeast Spain on the Costa Dorada, Reus is a historic city with a wide range of interesting attractions and activities. Many tourists are attracted to Reus because of its stunning beaches and theme park, Port Aventura, which is the largest one in Europe. Reus has a beautiful city centre, crammed with gorgeous architecture and buildings, shopping stores and a wide variety of restaurants.

Reus town is renowned as the hometown of Antoni Gaudi, the Spanish Catalan architect; you can visit the Gaudi Centre, a museum that exhibits his art works. The town also used to be known for its brandy production, back in the 18th century.

How to get to the city centre

Flights to Reus from Liverpool arrive at Reus Tarragona Airport, the only airport serving the town. Reus Tarragona Airport is conveniently located about 2km from the city centre and about 80km south of Barcelona. Getting to the city centre from the airport is very easy.

Upon your arrival, you can take the number 50 bus from the arrivals terminal to the Reus bus station, where you can walk down to the city centre. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the bus station, it's just 5 minutes' ride to the city centre. Several public buses are also available for transfer from the airport to the bus station; these buses are bright yellow in colour.
