Getting to and from the airport

Flights departing from London

London is a historical city that has always been one of the largest financial centres of the world. The city is served by important airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick. There are also other airports that serve London such as Luton, Stansted and Southend.

Flights from London to Singapore may take off from one of the many airports that serve the city of London. Of all these airports, Heathrow is the most famous and also the busiest. It serves millions of passengers who travel to and from London. Heathrow is located around 22 kilometres away from the city centre.

Getting to London airport

London Singapore flights may take off from one of the many airports in and around the city. Make sure that you know which airport you should go to, in order to catch that flight to Singapore. If you have to go to Heathrow, there is a train from Paddington Station. To go to Gatwick, get on the high-speed train from Victoria Station. Arriving to Singapore

Singapore is a beautiful tropical paradise that is also one of the smallest countries in the world. It is known for its affluent shopping districts, beautiful parks, glitzy casinos and nightclubs. As it is surrounded by forests and ocean, you can always discover nature at its best, with all the modern comforts. Do not forget to visit Little India, where you can grab a vegetarian meal that is not only tasty but also healthy. Explore the botanical gardens and urban forests for which Singapore is known. Last, but not least, head toward Orchard Road to spend time shopping at one of the many upscale stores.

How to get to the city centre

Flights to Singapore from London land at Singapore Changi Airport. This airport is sometimes just referred to as Changi Airport. As it is only 17 kilometres from the city centre, you should not find it difficult to reach Marina Bay. Marina Bay is the heart of the city and the easiest way to get there from the airport is by taking a train at Changi Airport MRT Station. From here, take a train to Tanah Merah Station, from where you will need to take the green line to Paya Lebar. From Paya Lebar, take the Yellow Line to reach Marina Station. Though this may be a little complex, taxis are expensive in Singapore.
