Jetairfly was founded in 2003 under the name TUI Airlines Belgium, but was changed to its current name in 2005 when it commenced operations. It has its headquarters in Zaventem, Belgium, plus its main hub located at Brussels Airport. It also has a number of focus cities such as Antwerp, Lille and Marrakesh that it fly's to regularly. It is part of the TUI Airlines alliance along with other airlines including Thomson Airways, TUI Airlines Netherlands and Corsair.
Jetairfly currently has a fleet of 28 aircraft that service over 100 destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe as well as North, South and Central America. The majority of flights travel to European destinations such as France, where the airline services numerous cities including Lyon, Paris, Marseille and Bordeaux. The airline also travels to many African destinations such as those in Morocco, including Fes, Marrakesh and Tangier. Other African destinations include Algiers in Algeria and Zanzibar in Tanzania. Middle East destinations include Antalya in Turkey and Tel Aviv in Israel.
Online check-in is possible for Jetairfly flights departing from most airports, such as those from Brussels, Athens, Marrakech and Amsterdam. For flights to Varadero, Cancun and the USA, online check-in is available from 24 hours up until 1 hour before the departure of the flight. All other routes are available to check in at from 30 hours up until 1 hour before the flight departure. By checking in online, passengers can either print off their boarding pass right away or have it sent to their email address to be printed at a later date. It is also possible to have the boarding pass sent to a mobile phone. Checking in online allows passengers to get to the boarding gate quickly on the date of departure.
Hand luggage allowance
All passengers over the age of 2 are allowed 1 free piece of hand luggage on a Jetairfly flight. The weight of the baggage must however, not exceed 10 kg, while the size of the baggage should not be more than 55 x 40 x 20 cm. All dimensions when added together shouldn't be greater than 115 cm. If there is limited space on the plane, some luggage may have to be placed in the hold free of charge. Luggage that exceeds the allowed size and weight allowance may be refused when boarding at the gate. Liquids are allowed on board as long as each container does not hold more than 100 ml.
Checked baggage allowance
The amount of checked baggage a passenger is allowed to take with them on Jetairfly flights is dependent on the route they are travelling and the type of ticket they have purchased. Economy Class passengers flying on a short or medium haul flight are allowed to take luggage weighing up to 15 kg whilst 20 kg is allowed on long haul flights. Premium Club ticket holders can take luggage weighing up to 30 kg. No piece of luggage should exceed 80 x 60 x 25 cm, or 158 cm when all dimensions have been added together. Passengers are advised to label each piece of luggage with their name and address.
