Turkish Airlines’ Baggage Policy
The Turkish Airlines baggage policy depends on the type of class you’re travelling in – Economy or Business – and also the final destination of your flight.
For domestic flights, the baggage allowance is the following:
- Economy Class: 20 kg of luggage
- Business Class: 30 kg
And for international flights the allowance is the same: 20 kg on the Economy Class and if you’re travelling in Business Class it’s 30 kg.
Hand Baggage on Turkish Airlines
As for the hand baggage, Turkish Airlines allows each passenger to carry a bag with a maximum weight of 8 kg. The dimensions of your baggage to carry it in the cabin shouldn’t exceed 55cm x 40cm x 23cm.
Baggage allowance for babies
The infant passengers – children under 2 years – are entitled to have a baggage of 10 kg plus a stroller with a maximum length of 115 cm.
Other details of Turkish Airlines Baggage Allowance
- The maximum weight of any baggage is 32 kg, so don’t go over the limit or else you’ll have to travel without your bag!
- On the Turkish Airlines direct flights to North America, passengers are allowed to travel with 2 pieces of luggage.
- Sports equipment (golf, ski and snowboarding) are free to carry in domestic flights, while for international flights and other types of sports equipment, there is a standard and special charge.

Hi, I have a flight from Lahore to JFK with Turkish Airlines. In my Baggage policy it says that i can carry 2 pieces, Each/23Kgs. (46 KGs) However my total estimated weight is somewhere around 30-32 KGs. I do not want to handle 2 pieces of luggage, is it allowed?
