Hamad International Airport is the new airport, which started operations in April 2014, with all flights to Doha landing here. The swanky airport is colossal with over 75 gates and large enough to accommodate the double-deck Airbus A380.

    The new airport is located approximately 7km further from the old airport and about 15km from Doha city centre. Well-developed ground transportation will take you from the airport to any part of the city.

    Transport options

    The public buses connect from Airport to all parts of the city. The buses are available from outside the passenger terminal. Some hotels arrange for shuttle buses from the airport for transfers on request. Rental car service centres are located opposite the terminal at ground transportation centre. You can book these cars in advance or just walk up to the car rental centre. Taxi and limousine stands are located just outside the arrival halls and are available at all times.
