Dortmund travel

Dortmund is the eighth biggest city in Germany, a metropolis characterised by green parks, open spaces, waterways and woodlands. It was founded 1,100 years ago and was the main city of the Hanseatic League in the 13th and 14th centuries. During the Industrial Period, Dortmund produced iron, coal and beer making the city an important trading centre. With the collapse of the steel and coal industries, Dortmund managed to diversify into technology and services. Today, flights to Dortmund not only bring people on business, but also those who want to experience the wonderful combination of the old and new in an urban setting.
