The airport is located approximately 2km from the city centre, and is adjacent to the frontier with Spain.
The airport is connected to the Market place by Bus Service-5 which is the centre for all other bus services in Gibraltar. The bus stop is a mere 2 minutes' walk from the terminal. There is also a taxi stand right outside the airport and a 24-hour Radio Cab service is also available. A four-lane diversion road and tunnel section operate the heavy traffic in the vicinity of the airport.. This carriageway will pass under the terminal and straight to the east side of the runway.
