Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and one of the most interesting in Great Britain. Flights from Glasgow to Paris take off from Glasgow Airport, which is only 10 kilometres from the city centre, as well as Glasgow Prestwick Airport, which is quite some distance further away.
Glasgow Airport was previously known as Abbotsinch Airport, and it handles millions of passengers every year making it one of the busiest airports in the United Kingdom. As it is located close to the city, most people prefer to fly from or land at this airport.
Glasgow Airport is not too far away from the city but Glasgow Prestwick Airport is 50 kilometres from the city centre. Find out from which of these two airports your Glasgow to Paris flights are taking off and make the necessary travel arrangements. If your flight takes off from Glasgow Airport, all you need to do is take the bus to the airport from Glasgow's main bus station. If your flight is taking off from Glasgow Prestwick Airport, you can take the train at Glasgow Central Station. You will find taxis from neighbourhoods and suburbs of the city to get you to both of the airports.
Paris is the capital of France and also one of the world capitals of finance, art and culture. Begin your journey at the famous Champs Elysees, which is known for its elegant stores, stylish cafes and bustling shopping malls. Your next stop should be Le Marais, a bohemian neighbourhood where cafes, bars and restaurants provide ample entertainment opportunities. Towards afternoon, visit the Jardins des Tuileries, one of the most famous gardens in Paris. A few other important landmarks that you should visit are the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame de Paris. Finally, have a walk on the banks of River Seine at sunset. Is a breath-taking experience!
Flights to Paris from Glasgow do not take much time before they are landing at Parisian airports. If you land at Orly, you can take the Tramway T7 and wait for it to stop at Villejuif-Louis Aragon metro station. Once it does that, take another metro to Les Halles, which is in the centre of Paris. If you land at Charles de Gaulle Airport, you can take the RER B Regional Express to the heart of the city. Your flight may also land at Beauvais-Tille or Chalons-Vatry airports. If that happens, take buses or trains to reach the city centre. Taking a taxi is also an option, although it can be expensive from these far-flung airports.
