Getting to London airport
London to San Francisco flights take off from one of the six airports listed above. If your plane is taking off from Heathrow or Gatwick, you can consider yourself covered, as these airports are connected by high-speed trains to the city centre. However, if you are using Southend or Stansted airports, you will have to start early as these airports are located far away in Essex. Trains connect both these airports to London city centre. Similarly, you will need to take a train from London city centre to reach Luton Airport. If your plane is taking off from London City Airport, you can just take a taxi to get to the airport.
