Getting around London is easy, even if you are there for the first time. Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport, you can opt for the Underground, which runs directly from the airport to the city centre.
From Stansted Airport, you can take the Stansted Express train, which connects the airport to Liverpool Street. National Express also runs coaches from Stansted and Gatwick Airports to Victoria Coach Station in central London. You can also pick up a taxi or rent a car at the airport.

No clear announcements and no contacts between airline and airport as to know that we had passed security check in etc so airline know that but it seems that there is a clear trick to make extra money out of passengers

The ques at the airport were very long on check in and moving very slowly. Security question were excellent.
We were sent to one departure gate and then to another 10 minutes walk away
