    Tampa Airport is located approximately five miles west of the city centre in the country of Hillsborough, Florida on the east shore of Tampa Bay.

    Transport options

    By car, passengers can take the I-275 highway to reach the city centre. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Several car rental companies are available in the airport close to the baggage reclaim area. Passengers wishing to take the bus can use the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit bus service to connect with the city centre. Taxis, shared passenger vans and limos can be organised in the baggage reclaim area.

    There are plenty of transport options available to bridge the six miles from the main city very easily. With low fares, several taxi cabs including Ace Metro, Quick Cab, Start Taxi and the City Cab come at the first call. Shuttle Vans and Sun Rail riders conveniently connect the airport to every other spot in the city.
