Trips to Tenerife

Tenerife travel

Tenerife is known for its rich culture, historical monuments, lively festivals and fantastic seaside. It is an important educational centre and is home to World Heritage Sites, such as the Teide National Park. Its history is traced to the time it was part of the Spanish Empire around 500 years ago. Before this, the earliest recorded human communities (the Guanches) were in 200 BC. Today, the largest of the Canary Islands is one of Spain's most important travel destinations. It is not surprising that flights to Tenerife are on the rise, with holidaymakers drawn to the natural and manmade attractions on the island.

Things to do and places to see in Tenerife

If planning trips to Tenerife, be prepared for the sheer number of things you can see and do on the island. Relax on a sandy beach and get a fabulous tan. Explore the national park and volcano or marvel at the diversity of the species at the reserve. Stare at architectural monuments and visit vital museums. When the sun sets, get your favourite sundowner at the beach, spend an idyllic dinner with a special someone and afterwards, party till morning in one of the nightclubs in town. In Tenerife, there is no such thing as boredom with the range of activities that you can enjoy on your own, as a couple or in a group.
