All flights to Fuerteventura land at the only El Matorral Airport, also known as the Fuerteventura airport. This airport serves the Spanish Canary Island for all domestic and international destinations. It has five boarding bridges but still manages 40,000 flights and five million passengers every year.

    El Matorral Airport is located 6.5km from the Puerto del Rosario, which is considered the capital of the island. The other tourist destinations are spread within an hour's drive of the airport.

    Transport options

    Even though it is a small island, it's ground transportation will get you to all corners of the island. The three different bus routes will get you to the capital of the island, Puerto del Rosario, and other tourist locations like Las Salinas, Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal. All buses are available from the arrivals terminal. If you prefer to drive, car rental will be available at both terminals to help you get the car of your choice. Taxis services are also available round the clock for all inbound and outbound passengers.
