All flights to Tenerife from London are handled by Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton Airports, through major airlines including British Airways.

Getting to London airport

London has an excellent public transport network system, which makes it easy to get around the city. Most London airports are located outside the city, several miles away from the city centre. London to Tenerife flights take about 4 hours, 30 minutes to Tenerife, depending on your departure airport and airline.

If you are flying from London Gatwick, Stansted Airport or Luton Airport, you can opt for a National Express coach from Victoria Station to any of the airports. Passengers flying from Heathrow Airport can opt for a train ride from London Paddington station to the airport terminal. Alternatively, you can hail a black cab or taxi to any of the airports from your location.

Arriving to Tenerife

Tenerife features a variety of stunning attractions, natural landscapes, coastal resorts and pristine beaches. The island boasts stunning volcanic landscapes and a famous mountain, Mount El Teide volcano, which is considered the highest in Spain. How to get to the city centre

Tenerife has two airports: Tenerife South Airport (also known as Tenerife South-Reina Sofia Airport) and Tenerife North Airport (also known as Los Rodeos). These two airports serve the island, but flights from London to Tenerife arrive at the Tenerife-South Airport (TFS), which is the larger of the two.

Tenerife-South Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Canary Islands and is located just 60km from Santa Cruz, the capital city of Tenerife. Several local buses are available at the arrivals hall entrance for travel to the city centre and other routes. You can also take a taxi or rent a car for transfer to your destination.
