Currently known as ASL Airlines France, Europe Airpost was founded in 1991 and provided scheduled flights to a wide range of destinations across Europe, Africa and North America. Nowadays operating cargo flights for France's national postal service, as well as newspaper dispatch flights, scheduled services and charter services, the airline was originally operated under the Air France brand from its initial inception in 1947 until it become Europe Airpost in 1991. During this time, the airline operated under the name Société d'Exploitation Aéropostale.

In 2008, ASL Aviation of Ireland officially bought Europe Airpost, and in 2015 announced that the airline would be rebranded as ASL Airlines France. Now headquartered in Tremblay-en-France, France, the airline has a fleet of 15 Boeing 737 aircraft that can be converted from cargo to passenger planes in less than an hour. The airline's main operational hub is Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Online check-in

Online check-in isn't possible for ASL Airlines France. Airport check-in is available between 2 hours and 40 minutes before the flight's scheduled departure time. Passengers are required to provide their tickets, valid photo ID and, if required, visa information during the check-in process.

ASL Airlines France flight passengers who are late for check-in will not be permitted onto the aircraft, so it is strongly advised that travellers arrive at the airport early to ensure they don't get caught in any long queues that prevent them from boarding their flight. Items of luggage for the hold will also need to be presented during the check-in process.

Hand luggage allowance

All passengers travelling on an ASL Airlines France flight are permitted 1 item of hand luggage as long as it does not weigh more than 5 kg and its total dimensions are no greater than 115 cm. All items of hand luggage that exceed the specified weight or size restrictions will be placed in the hold for an additional fee.

Liquids in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml are allowed to be taken on an ASL Airlines France flight, though only if they are placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag and the total amount of liquid is less than 1 litre.

Checked baggage allowance

Passengers on ASL Airlines France, may check in up to 3 items of luggage into the aircraft's hold. The total weight of these 3 items must not exceed 15 kg, though additional weight allowance can be purchased with 32 kg per item the maximum.

Musical instruments, sporting equipment, bicycles and other items of special baggage may be checked in for an additional fee, while baby prams and wheelchairs can be transported free of charge. Passengers should be aware that e-cigarettes and spare batteries are considered prohibited items on ASL Airlines France flights.
