Hahn Air Systems, also known as Hahn Air, is a German airline founded in 1994 that operates its flights out of Düsseldorf Airport. The company has its headquarters in Dreieich near Frankfurt and is fully owned by Saspo Holding GmbH. As a highly versatile modern airline, it's able to undertake scheduled flights as well as charter flights. It has offices in several cities around the world including Mexico City, Paris and Amsterdam, plus a fleet of 3 aircraft including 2 Cessna Citation CJ4s and a Cessna Citation Sovereign.
The majority of Hahn Air flights are often scheduled between Düsseldorf Airport and Luxemburg Findel Airport. These flights between Düsseldorf and Luxemburg operate on a daily basis. Fully licensed by the German Civil Aviation Authority, Hahn Airlines holds an Air Operator Certificate, an IOSA Certificate and a Flight Safety Certificate. Since 2011, it has a codeshare agreement with Luxair.
Online check-in
When flying with Hahn Airlines it is only possible to check in once you arrive at the airport, as passengers are not able to check in online with a Hahn Air ticket. British Airways carry out the check-in at Düsseldorf Airport, Terminal B, and the desk is open 75 minutes prior to the departure of the flight. Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure.
In Luxemburg, Luxair carry out the check-in at one of the regular check-in desks. Check-in opens 75 minutes before the departure of the flight and closes 20 minutes prior to your flight leaving. The check-in desk will be clearly displayed allowing for plenty of time before the flight departs.
Hand luggage allowance
All passengers, whether they be Business Class or Economy Class, are allowed to take 1 piece of hand luggage on board as long as it does not exceed the maximum size restrictions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. The maximum weight of the hand baggage may not be more than 7 kg.
Liquids are allowed to be carried in hand baggage as long as the contents do not exceed 100 ml each. The total amount of liquid in the plastic bag may not be greater than 1 litre. Liquids purchased in duty free shops are permitted to be brought on board and all passengers must also clearly label their luggage with their name.
Checked baggage allowance
The checked baggage allowance depends on the type of ticket the passenger has purchased. Business Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of luggage weighing no more than 32 kg. This can also be split into 2 pieces of luggage as long as the total weight does not exceed 32 kg.
Economy Class passengers are allowed to take 1 piece of luggage as long as it does not weigh more than 20 kg. Infants under 2 years old are not given any free luggage allowance, however a cot, stroller or pushchair can be taken free of charge. All luggage must be clearly marked with the passenger's name.
