Skywork Airlines was founded in 1983 as a flying school and didn't perform its first scheduled flight until 2009. Today, the company flies to 18 destinations throughout Europe, including seasonal routes during the summer and an additional 9 operating all year round. Top destinations for Skywork Airlines flights include London Southend in the United Kingdom, Vienna International Airport in Austria, Barcelona El Prat Airport in Spain and Berlin Tegel Airport in Germany.

SkyWork Airlines is a Swiss airline, based in Belp, in the Bern region of Switzerland. It has its main operations hub at the nearby Bern Airport. The fleet is made up of 5 aircraft, all of which are 31-seat Fairchild Dornier 328-110s turboprop planes. The Dorniers are short-distance commuter planes and have a range limit of around 4 hours flight time or 2,500 km in total. The airline does not have any codeshare flights and has never been a member of any airline alliance, such as SkyTeam, oneworld or Star Alliance.

Online check-in

Skywork Airlines offers an online check-in service for passengers' convenience. By checking in online, passengers can spend less time waiting at the airport. Online check-in is available starting from 24 before a flight is scheduled to leave and closes 2 hours prior to a flight's scheduled take-off time. Passengers can choose where they will sit on the plane during online check-in. Online check-in is only available for flights from Bern, Basel or Split. Passengers can also check in for Skywork Airlines flights at the airport, however the airline recommends that passengers choosing this option do so at least 90 minutes before their flight is due to leave.

Hand luggage allowance

Skywork Airlines baggage allowance for hand luggage includes 1 item with a weight of up to 8 kg for Economy and Economy Light class passengers. Passengers flying in Business class are entitled to bring 2 hand luggage items, each if which may weigh up to 8 kg. Maximum size limit for hand luggage is 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Passengers are also allowed to bring a laptop bag in addition to their hand luggage allowance. If a passenger exceeds their allowance, the item or items will have to be checked into the hold at an extra cost to the passenger.

Checked baggage allowance

A passenger's receipt or e-ticket will state the details of their checked baggage allowance. Economy Light passengers do not have any checked baggage included with the price of their ticket. Economy passengers have an allowance of 1 baggage item, weighing up to 23 kg. Business class passengers are allowed to bring 2 items each weighing up to 32 kg. SkyWork Airlines will refuse carriage of any luggage items weighing over 32 kg. Young children are also allowed to bring a stroller on board the aircraft. Passengers wishing to bring sporting equipment on their flight should arrange that with the airline ahead of time, as there are extra fees involved. The company will charge passengers who exceed the baggage allowance included in their ticket.
