The airline flies to 18 destinations with its fleet of over 10 aircraft. It mainly focuses on long-haul flights to countries within Asia such as India, China and Japan. Chinese destinations include Hong Kong, Shenyang and Hangzhou. Scoot flights to Australian destinations include the popular tourist hotspots of Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Online check-in

Online check-in is available for all Scoot flights departing from Singapore from 48 hours up until 3 hours prior to departure. In order to check-in online, passengers must enter their surname and booking reference as well as their departure airport. It will then be possible for passengers to select the amount of checked baggage they want to take with them on the aircraft. Extra luggage allowance can be purchased before the check-in process has been completed. Once check-in has been confirmed, passengers are able to either print off their boarding pass right away or have it sent to them by email.

Hand luggage allowance

All passengers travelling on Scoot flights are allowed to take at least 1 piece of hand luggage with them on board. The exact amount allowed depends on what type of ticket the passenger has purchased. For Economy Class ticket holders 1 piece weighing up to 7 kg is allowed, whilst ScootBiz ticket holders can take 2 pieces as long as they do not weigh more than 15 kg together. All luggage must not be larger than 54 x 38 x 23 cm when width, height and length are combined. Any luggage that exceeds these size and weight limitations will incur a charge. Liquids are also allowed on board but the containers are not permitted to be larger than 100 ml.

Checked baggage allowance

The amount of hold baggage passengers can take with them on a Scoot flight depends on the type of ticket purchased. Fly ticket holders are not allowed any free checked baggage whilst FlyBag and FlyBagEat passengers can take luggage weighing up to 20 kg. ScootBiz passengers however can take luggage weighing up to 30 kg.

There is no limit on the amount of pieces as long as passengers do not exceed the allowance stated in the type of Scoot ticket purchased. In addition, baggage dimensions should not exceed 158 cm when added together. Musical instruments and sporting equipment can be taken on board as long as they do not exceed the hold luggage restrictions.
