How to get to Central London from the airport:

  • By train – the Stansted Express travels between the airport and Liverpool Street Station, taking around 50 minutes.
  • By taxi – it normally takes approximately 90 minutes to reach Central London from Stansted by taxi and car. Allow plenty of time when heading back for your flight, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.
  • By coach – there's an Airport Bus Express service that runs every half hour between 6am and 2am. You can either take the A21 service to and from Liverpool Street, or the A20 to and from Victoria. This takes around 90 minutes.
