I was appalled when i checked in to discover that Ryan air did not seat my child and I together as an automatic procedure, especially as there were many seats available for pairings of this nature. I had to pay to move myself, byt the time i came to checkout, the seat had gone. I tried again and the same thing happened after the third time it was successful. The worse part was the first price to move was 5euros, the second 6 euros and the third cost me 10 euros. I felt compelled to contact Ryanair immediately to complain and to acknowledge that i thought that their practise was shameful. This caused my experience to suffer. After seeing tonights documentary about airline booze and poor behaviour, surely it is more important than ever for Ryanair to make sure that children are protected by being seated with their parents. Had i not have had any money left at the end of my holiday, I would not have been able to change seats. Should there have been unruly behaviour by other passengers my child could have been vulnerable and I helpless. Flying with Ryanair in the future would have to be seriously considered before making a decision.
