About Juneyao Airlines
Founded in 2005, Juneyao Airlines is headquartered in Shanghai, China and has its main hubs at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The airline has a codeshare agreement with Shenzhen Airlines and currently has a fleet of 55 aircraft that fly to 70 destinations, the majority of which are within the People's Republic of China. It also has a low-cost subsidiary airline called 9 Air that was founded in 2015.
The Chinese destinations the airline flies to include the cities of Chongqing, Hong Kong, Longyan, Sanya and Shenzhen. Other cities in China that are serviced by the airline include Hohhot, Baotou, Beijing and Nanjing. Juneyao Airlines also flies to the Japanese destinations of Osaka, Tokyo, Naha and Nagoya as well as the South Korean destinations of Seoul, Jeju and Cheongju. Flights are also operated to Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand.
Online check-in
Passengers are able to check in online to Juneyao Airlines flights by entering their personal details such as surname and booking reference number. Once the online check-in process has been completed, passengers are able to have their boarding pass sent to their email address or can choose to print it out directly.
By checking in online, passengers are able to avoid queuing at the airport on the date of departure. Juneyao Airlines passengers who are only travelling with hand luggage and who have already checked in online can head straight to the departure gate whilst those with checked luggage can go to the baggage drop.
Hand luggage allowance
All passengers are allowed to take at least 1 free piece of hand baggage with them on their Juneyao Airlines flight. The hand baggage is not allowed to weigh more than 5 kg and its size should not be greater than 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
All hand baggage should either be placed in the overhead lockers above the passenger's head or under the seat in front of them. Juneyao Airlines passengers are allowed to take liquids with them on board as long as the capacity of each container is not greater than 100 ml. The maximum volume of liquid allowed on board is 1 litre.
Checked baggage allowance
The amount of free baggage allowance that a passenger is able to take with them on Juneyao Airlines flights is dependent on what type of ticket they have purchased. First Class ticket holders are allowed to take up to 40 kg with them whilst Business Class ticket holders can take up to 30 kg and Economy Class ticket holders can take up to 20 kg.
No piece of luggage may exceed 100 x 60 x 40 cm. Infants are not allowed to take any free luggage but are allowed to transport a pushchair or pram with them. Juneyao Airlines passengers should ensure they label their luggage with their name and address.
