A wholly-owned subsidiary of Air France-KLM, Transavia France is a low-cost airline headquartered in Paray Vieille Poste, France. With a fleet size of 27 Boeing 737-800 aircraft connecting over 50 destinations across Europe, Asia and North Africa, Transavia France was founded in 2006 and began operations in 2007. The airline mainly operates chartered and scheduled services to popular travel destinations and is seen as Air France-KLM's primary low-cost service, along with its sister operation Transavia, which is based in the Netherlands.

Transavia France operates an extensive flight network across many of Europe's most popular hotspots including Italian destinations such as Naples, Rome and Venice; Spanish destinations such as Ibiza, Madrid and Valencia; and Croatian destinations such as Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar. Outside of Europe, there are Transavia France flights to Turkey and Israel, while popular African destinations such as Tunisia and Morocco are also available.

Online check-in

It is possible for passengers to check in to Transavia France flights from 30 hours up until 4 hours before the scheduled departure of their flight. In order to check in online, passengers are required to provide their booking number, surname and flight date. It isn't possible for passengers to check in for their return flight at the same time as their outbound flight. It is possible for passengers to check in at the airport terminal. Transavia France airport kiosks are open 3 hours before the flight's scheduled departure for passengers wishing to check in at the airport directly.

Hand luggage allowance

All passengers travelling on a Transavia France flight are able to take 1 item of hand luggage with them on board as long as it does not exceed 45 x 40 x 25 cm in size. The maximum weight allowance for all items of hand luggage is 10 kg. All hand baggage must be able to fit in the overhead locker above the passenger's head or under the seat in front of them.

It is possible to take items of hand luggage that exceed 45 x 40 x 25 cm in size if there is space available in the cabin. These items cannot be larger than 55 x 40 x 25 cm, though there is no guarantee that they will be allowed in the cabin.

Checked baggage allowance

Passengers are allowed to book checked baggage for their Transavia France flights. It is possible to book up to 5 items of luggage per person provided that the maximum total weight does not exceed 50 kg, and no single item weighs over 32 kg. The price of each item of hold luggage depends on the weight, and passengers are advised to book online before arriving at the airport as this is the cheaper option. Musical instruments and travel aids for infants can also be booked for Transavia France flights, provided they meet the weight criteria of standard items of luggage.

Could be better looks to me value reflects the expect. No line for family long check in que. the girl in the check in would not even allow extra kilo to be pass-on with out us avoiding opening the bags in-front of the whole nation. Indeed not impressed. Then when we go inside the international flught expect a bit of some slight cheers up of free coffee or even water. Clearly my son was not impressed by the aeroplane “can we change airport as this aeroplane not good””.
