Biman Bangladesh Airlines is Bangladesh's national flag carrier airline and has its headquarters plus main hub located in the country's capital city of Dhaka, at the Shahjalal International Airport. It also has smaller centres of operation at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet and at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong. Biman Bangladesh Airlines was founded in 1972 and owned by the Bangladeshi government up until 2007, at which point it became Bangladesh's biggest public limited company. 14 Bombardier, Boeing and Airbus planes make up the airline's fleet, with the Boeing 737 and 777 being its most predominant means of transport.
