About Heli Air Monaco

Founded in 1976, Heli Air Monaco is the flag carrier of Monaco, accounting for close to 95% of all air traffic at the Monaco Heliport. Headquartered in the principality of Monaco, Heli Air Monaco operates regular helicopter shuttle services between its two bases at Monaco Heliport and Nice Airport. These services operate regularly, with an average of 24 transfers per day. The airline also offers request flights from Monaco and Nice to a variety of popular European leisure destinations in the local area.

Heli Air Monaco has a fleet of 14 helicopters, with the airline ensuring the transfer of up to 220 passengers per hour between its hubs in Monaco and Nice. Since commencing operations in 1976, the airline has carried over 2,300,000 passengers and now averages roughly 130,000 passengers per year. The regularity and efficiency of the airline has made it popular for travellers attending events in Monaco.

Online check-in

It is only possible to check in on Heli Air Monaco flights online. To do this, passengers are required to provide their passport information, booking references and any visa details needed for their journey. The check-in process can be completed up 24 hours before their intended flight departure. After checking in, passengers need to print out their boarding passes and present them at the helicopter terminal on the day of departure. Checked luggage should also be presented to the Heli Air Monaco staff at this time.

Hand luggage allowance

Passengers on Heli Air Monaco flights are permitted 1 small item of hand luggage on board their flight. Although there are no size or weight restrictions, items that are too large will not be allowed onto the aircraft. It is not possible to purchase any additional luggage size or weight allowances. Liquids in containers with a capacity of 100 ml or less are also allowed to be taken on board. All containers must fit into a sealed plastic bag and the total amount of liquid per passenger may not exceed 1 litre.

Checked baggage allowance

All passengers are allowed to take 1 item of checked luggage with them on board their Heli Air Monaco flight. The weight of this item must not exceed 25 kg and must not be longer than 80 cm. As space and weight are major factors in helicopter travel, no excess luggage allowance can be purchased before flying. Items that are too large or heavy will not be allowed onto the aircraft. It is also not possible to spread the weight of luggage across more than 1 item of luggage.
