If you’re about to fly Vueling and don’t want to get stuck paying extra baggage fees then you’d do well to pay attention to what’s written below.

Here’s everything you’ll ever need to know about Vueling’s baggage policy.

Vueling’s Hand Baggage Allowance

Hand baggage is classified as the luggage you are permitted to take aboard with you.

With Vueling baggage is allowed on board with the following dimensions:

A piece of hand luggage  up to 10 kilograms (55x40x20 cm) can be taken aboard by paying the TimeFlex Fare. Passengers travelling with the Basic, Optima or Family fare can add it to their booking for a fee.

If you exceed the permitted free baggage allowance by number, dimension and/or weight you will be charged €£41.72 at the check-in desk or £49.23 at the boarding gate per item each way.

Each passenger can also carry one underseat  item free of charge (max. 40x20x30 cm) – like a small backpack, briefcase, handbag, camera bag etc.

Prohibited Hand Baggage Items

  • Guns, firearms, and anything that discharges projectiles
  • Devices designed to stun or immobilise
  • Items with a sharp tip or edge including knives over 6 cm
  • Blunt instruments
  • Explosive and incendiary substances
  • Workman’s tools capable of causing bodily harm

Vueling’s Checked Baggage Allowance

The checked baggage allowance at Vueling is dependent on the type of fare booked. Those purchasing the Optima and Family fare can check in one bag up to 25 kg at no additional charge.

With Vueling you can choose different bag sizes from 15 up to 30 kg and check them by paying from £8.75/21.88 € online depending on the destination and from £43.75 when purchased at the airport (only 25 kg bag).

The maximum weight of any piece of checked baggage regardless of fare is 32 kg.

Remember: adding the baggage at the ticket counter could cost you up to 50% more.

Do it online.

Other Useful Info

Flights within the EU apply the following restrictions to liquids in carry-on baggage:

  • Liquids and gels with a maximum printed quantity of 100ml
  • Containers must be carried in a plastic bag and presented at airport security
  • Medicine can be transported outside the bag but must be presented at security

Duty free liquid goods must be brought aboard in a sealed bag.

Sports baggage (like skis, surfboards, golf clubs etc.) is charged at €45 per piece each way.
