Founded in 1997, the French airline Air Mediterranee ceased its operations in February 2016. The airline was headquartered at Tarbes–Lourdes–Pyrénées Airport in the Hautes-Pyrénées region in the south west of France. Its main hub was located at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris whilst its focus cities were Nantes Atlantique Airport and Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. The Greek airline, Hermes Airlines, was its subsidiary. It was possible to take Air Mediterranee flights to over 50 destinations in Egypt, Spain, Bulgaria and France with its fleet of 6 aircraft comprising 5 Airbus planes and one Boeing plane.

French destinations that the airline flew to included Mérignac Airport in Bordeaux, Provence Airport in Marseille and Méditerranée Airport in Montpellier. It was also possible to take an Air Mediterranee flight to Varna Airport in Bulgaria and Luxor International Airport in Egypt. The airline operated several routes to a number of Spanish destinations including Ibiza Airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport and Málaga Airport. Passengers could also fly with the airline to Jerez Airport in the Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera as well as to San Pablo Airport in Seville.
