About Blue Panorama
With a fleet of 12 aeroplanes, Blue Panorama has its base of operations located in Rome – specifically, Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport. It also has an operational base in Albania, at Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza. Like Air Italy, Blue Panorama runs many domestic services in the Italian peninsula from Milan-Malpensa Airport. The airline runs a sister brand, called Blue-Express, for low-cost services. In addition, the company has a charter service, which is aimed at the business market, named Executive Blue. Founded in Rome in 1998, the airline has around 500 members of staff and it became a member of IATA in 2002. In 2012, Alitalia, the national carrier of Italy, announced that it was in discussions with executives from Blue Panorama about a merger but this did not come about. Although most of the services run by the airline were provided in Italy only during its early years, jet passenger services to and from Albania commenced in 2013, principally because the rival operator Belle Air pulled out of that market. Blue Panorama operates code-sharing arrangements with a number of other airlines, including Norwegian Air Shuttle, Cubana de Aviacion, Neos and Albawings. Blue Panorama flights are provided on a fleet of Boeing aircraft, with both 737s and 767s on its books.
How do I check in online with Blue Panorama?
The Blue Panorama check-in policy allows two methods for checking in. The first is an online check-in facility that is run via their home website. This service is available from ten days up to two hours before the planned departure time but is only available for passengers taking domestic flights and some international services, such as those to and from Greece. All that is needed to check in online is your surname and the booking reference you were given when you purchased your tickets. Blue Panorama sometimes refers to this reference as a PNR. It is important to note that some passengers are required to check in at the airport terminal rather than using the web-based service. This includes passengers who are travelling with children under 2 years of age and minors who are travelling alone. Anyone who plans to take a pet into the cabin with them must also report in person to the check-in desk, as should passengers with reduced mobility who require special assistance. Once you have checked in online, you must remember to print your boarding card. An e-boarding pass is also emailed by Blue Panorama to your chosen email address.
What is my checked baggage allowance on Blue Panorama?
Some types of ticket sold by Blue Panorama come with no checked baggage allowance at all. However, the Blue Panorama baggage allowance usually allows for a single bag weighing no more than 20 kg to be placed in the hold of the aeroplane. On domestic and European services, it is worth double-checking the ticket type you are opting for because if you turn up at the airport with a bag to check in but have no allowance for it, a hefty surcharge is likely to apply. Long-haul services run by Blue Panorama will have all tickets sold with a baggage allowance that is included within the price. Economy class ticket holders are allowed to check in a single bag that weighs no more than 23 kg. So-called Blue Class passengers are allowed to place two items of luggage into the hold, as long as neither of them exceeds 23 kg in weight.
What hand luggage can I take on Blue Panorama?
The Blue Panorama cabin baggage system applies for all of its services. Passengers may take a single bag onto one of the airline's flights, as long as its dimensions do not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Bear in mind that this maximum size must include the wheels and handles of any bag that you want to take on board with you, and the airline is likely to confirm the dimensions of any luggage that looks like it might exceed this allowance. Furthermore, no cabin baggage may weigh in excess of 10 kg Certain items are not considered to fall under the cabin baggage allowance and are allowed on board in addition to the single bag that is permitted. These items include walking sticks, umbrellas, a camera, reading material, a laptop, a blanket, and a collapsible wheelchair. Liquids must be placed in bottles no larger than 100ml each and held in a clear plastic container.
Where does Blue Panorama fly from?
The number of Blue Panorama destinations has gradually increased since the airline first started flying domestically. It now provides services all over southern Europe, in competition with operators such as Olympic Air, as well as to plenty of long-haul destinations in Africa and Asia. In addition, Blue Panorama offers trans-Atlantic services from Italy to a number of popular cities. Among its most successful international routes are:
