ASKY
About ASKY
Operating a network of 23 destinations across Western and Central Africa, Asky Airlines, commonly known as ASKY, is a Togo-based airline with a fleet of 8 Boeing and Bombardier aircraft. Headquartered at Lomé-Tokoin Airport, the airline was founded in June 2008 and commenced operations in January 2010 with the slogan "The Pan African Airline". The airline was founded by the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) in order to address the lack of air transport connections in West and Central Africa.
In addition to operating flights to destinations in Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Nigeria and Senegal, ASKY's codeshare partnership with the Ethiopian Airlines network allows the airline to connect passengers to services to the Middle East, the Far East, and East Africa. An additional service to Beirut, Lebanon is planned for the future.
Online check-in
Online check-in is not currently available for ASKY flights, however free airport check-in is available for passengers leaving from all destinations. Airport check-in is available from 2 hours up until 45 minutes before the flight's scheduled departure time. To complete the check-in procedure at the airport, passengers are required to provide their identity cards or passports.
ASKY passengers are encouraged to arrive at their departure terminal as early as possible to avoid having to wait in long queues or even miss check-in. Passengers requiring immigration and/or visa forms can collect these during the check-in process, along with their boarding passes.
Hand luggage allowance
All passengers travelling on an ASKY flight are allowed to take 1 item of hand luggage with them on board no matter whether they are flying domestically or to an international location. Hand luggage may not weigh more than 7 kg or exceed 55 x 25 x 40 cm in size. All items of hand luggage must be able to fit in the overhead lockers or beneath the seats on the aircraft.
Items of hand luggage that exceed weight or size limitations on an ASKY flight will be placed in the aircraft's hold and be subjected to an additional check-in fee. Infant passengers are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults.
Checked baggage allowance
Passengers on ASKY flights may check 1 item of luggage weighing no more than 30 kg. No item of checked luggage can be longer than 90 cm. Infant passengers are entitled to one item of checked baggage weighing no more than 10 kg, while collapsible strollers, baby seats and wheelchairs can be placed in the hold for free.
Additional luggage weight allowance or additional items on an ASKY flight can be purchased for flights during the booking or check-in process. Such items will be charged per kilo. The maximum weight allowance for a single item of luggage is 40 kg. Any item heavier than this will not be permitted on board the aircraft.
