Getting to and from the airport

London is home to five international airports, among them Gatwick Airport - the second busiest airport after the much acclaimed Heathrow Airport - and London City Airport. Gatwick Airport has two terminals: North and South. It has a single runway that is hailed as the busiest single runway worldwide. London City Airport has one terminal building and a single runway (much like Gatwick Airport).

Getting to London airport

Gatwick Airport is located in West Sussex approximately 45km from Central London. From London to the airport, one can use the Gatwick Express. It is the fastest mode of transport. Trains come in intervals of 15 minutes. If you are in a rush to get flights to Vienna from Gatwick, the Gatwick Express will get you to the airport within 30 minutes.

London City Airport is located approximately 10km to the east side of Central London. London City Airport uses the Docklands Light Railway system to connect the airport to the city centre. The DLR intervals are between 8-15 minutes and take less than 10 minutes to get to the airport.

Arriving to Vienna

Vienna, capital city of Austria, has much to boast about. How to get to the city centre

Vienna International Airport receives flights from many countries and cities, amongst them being flights from London City to Vienna. Vienna International Airport has two terminals: Terminals 1 and 3 - Terminal 3 being arrivals and Terminal 1 being for departures l.

With the airport located approximately 18km from the city centre of Vienna on the southeast side, it is not too far from the city. You can get the Vienna S-Bahn metro railway on line S7. This will take you directly from the airport to Central Vienna. You can also get buses, taxis and car rental facilities from the airport. Getting to the city will be no hassle at all!
