The Vienna International Airport is the main airport in the capital of Austria. Cheap flights to Vienna land and take off from this airport. It consists of four terminals: 1, 2, 3 and 1a.
The top carriers that serve the airport are the following: Austrian Airlines, Eurowings and easyJet.
Vienna Airport is approximately 18km southwest of the city centre of Vienna.
There are several ways to get to the airport and back. Line 7 of the Vienna S-Bahn will take you to the centre of the city in roughly 25 minutes. Another way is to get on the City Airport Train and get off at the Wien Mitte which is near downtown. By car, use the A4 and exit at Flughafen Wien-Schwechat. Buses run 24 hours to and from the city centre to the airport; the journey will take you 20 minutes depending on the traffic conditions. Other means of transportation include taxis and shuttles.
There are numerous flights to Bratislava with top airlines being Ryanair, Flydubai and Czech Airlines.
The airport is located at a distance of about 9km north east of the main city. The city is well-connected by excellent ground transport facilities.
Bratislava - even though a small city - has a well-developed train network which not only to gets you to the city, but also to other surrounding cities like Prague and Budapest in neighbouring countries. Bus line 61 runs between the airport and the city. There are various taxi operators outside the arrival terminal that can you take you the heart of the city, or use one of the car rental services to see the city on your own.
