Travel to the land down under and visit Melbourne, Australia's second largest city, with its Aboriginal heritage mixed with modern culture. Often earning the title of "world's most liveable city", it is bound to the banks of the Yarra River. Settlement began in 1835 and today Melbourne's history is visible in the imposing Victorian-era architecture that has stood the test of time. Renowned for its thriving art scene and cosmopolitan "European" atmosphere, it is also the sporting capital of Australia with a sport-mad population and most of the country's sporting events taking place in its vast arenas. It is a compelling place to visit and makes the popularity of Melbourne flights easy to understand. Check out our offers flight + hotel to Melbourne!

A number of carriers operate cheap flights between London and Melbourne and land at Melbourne Airport, Australia's second busiest airport. It is the only airport in Australia that operates around the clock. With all four of its terminals under one roof, passengers can walk between their connecting domestic and international flights.
Melbourne Airport is about 16 miles northwest of the city centre.
A link between the airport and Melbourne city centre is provided by the Tullamarine Freeway (you'll need a city link pass) or on the toll-free Western Ring Road. Passengers travelling by bus can take the Skybus express bus services that run between the airport and Melbourne city centre, and between the airport and St Kilda. There are also several local bus services to various points in and around the city, including the SmartBus Route 901 that links to the Craigieburn Line at Broadmeadows train station. Taxis are available from all four terminals.
