About Aigle Azur

INFORMATION UPDATE: On 6 September 2019, Aigle Azur shut down their operations, and are no longer offering Aigle Azur flights. The information below refers to the period Aigle Azur was still operating.

Online check-in

Travellers with electronic tickets are able to check in online for their Aigle Azur flight. They can do this between 48 hours and 3 hours ahead of the scheduled departure of their flight. This service also enables passengers to choose where they would like to be seated during the flight. After they have successfully checked in, passengers can choose to either print out a physical boarding card or to receive an electronic version on their mobile phone via SMS. The airline also makes airport check-in counters available as an additional way for its passengers to check in. Airport check-in closes 1 hour before take-off.

Hand luggage allowance

Passengers are each entitled to bring 1 piece of hand luggage on board their flight with the airline. The maximum size for this is 40 x 55 x 20 cm. The airline also provides sizers for passengers to check that their hand luggage isn't too big. Economy passengers' hand luggage can weigh up to 10 kg while Business class passengers' hand luggage can weigh up to 15 kg. Passengers can bring 1 small personal item such as a handbag or laptop case in addition to their allowance. On a particularly busy Aigle Azur flight, passengers may be asked to check in their hand luggage, however they will not be charged for this.

Checked baggage allowance

Checked baggage is only included in the ticket price for some Aigle Azur flights. On flights to Algeria, Economy class passengers can check in up to 30 kg of luggage, and Business class passengers, 40 kg of luggage. On flights to Mali, passengers can check in up to 35 kg of luggage. For both destinations, infants can check in up to 10 kg of luggage. Checked luggage allowance is not included in bookings to other destinations, and is an optional extra that passengers can choose to add to their booking online. The airline will not accept any items of luggage that are heavier than 32 kg.
