Indira Gandhi International Airport is the main airport in Delhi. The airport is capable of handling over 40 million passengers a year. It has three terminals that take care of the travel needs of passengers on trips to Delhi. It boasts other amenities, including shops, restaurants, cash machines, on-site hotel, lounges, car hire and play areas.

The airport is located 16km from the centre of New Delhi.
One of the fastest ways to move around the city is to take the Delhi Metro, which operates an Express train from downtown to the airport and vice-versa. Travel time is usually less than 25 minutes between the two points. Buses also serve the city centre and they are run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) or private contractors. For your comfort, cabs are available outside of the terminal building. Car hire with or without a driver is also offered at the airport.
