Flydubai is a low-cost air carrier based at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates that operates flights in conjunction with its sister airline, Emirates . It was founded in 2008 and commenced operations the following year in 2009. Flydubai is wholly owned by the government of Dubai and also has a secondary base at Al Maktoum International Airport. The airline owns a fleet of more than 50 airplanes with which it operates its flights, all of which are Boeing 737s.
From its Dubai hub, the airline flies to nearly 100 destinations spread across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa. As it is a sister airline of Emirates, it endeavours to only fly to destinations that are not covered by that airline. Some of its most popular routes are the Flydubai flights going to Prague, Delhi, Amman, Jeddah and Istanbul. The airline does not have any codeshare arrangements and has not joined any airline alliance as yet.
All passengers can check in online for a Flydubai flight unless they're travelling to Madinah or Jeddah. To check in online, passengers will need their last name and booking reference number. Online check-in opens 24 hours before a flight's departure and closes again 1 hour and a half before takeoff. Once they've completed online check-in, passengers can print out the boarding card for their flight. If they are only travelling with hand luggage, passengers who have checked in online can go straight through security to the boarding gate. If they have checked luggage however, this will need to be dropped off at one of the airline's desks. It is also possible to check in at the airport, starting from 3 hours before a flight up until 1 hour beforehand.
Passengers who are travelling in Economy class are entitled to bring 1 piece of hand luggage on board their Flydubai flight. The maximum weight for this is 7 kg and it must be smaller than 56 x 45 x 25 cm. Economy passengers can also bring on board 1 personal item in addition to their hand luggage allowance, up to a size of 25 x 33 x 20 cm. Passengers who are flying in Business class are entitled to carry 2 pieces of hand luggage into the cabin, with a combined maximum weight of 15 kg. Each of these pieces of hand luggage must be smaller than 56 x 45 x 25 cm. Infants are entitled to bring an extra bag of up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm in order to carry the items necessary for the infant's care.
Flydubai Economy class passengers do not have any checked baggage allowance included in their fare, but they are able to add an allowance to their booking in increments of 20 kg, 30 kg and 40 kg. Passengers in Business class do have a checked luggage allowance included in their fare. They can bring up to 3 luggage items with a combined weight of up to 40 kg. Each individual luggage item must be smaller than 75 x 55 x 35 cm and lighter than 32 kg. The airline may refuse to carry luggage that exceeds these limits. Passengers who have more luggage than their allowance entitles them to may have to pay an extra charge.
It was a great experience however you changed me more than what you ask. That was sad and disappointing.
you get what you pay for compare this air line to Ryan air
They took our hand bags in the aircraft door and put it with the luggages by the time the cappent are empty. Very strange and crazy
The air hostesses did a lot of talking whilst passengers questions were not answered. I don?t think I?ll ever be flying with FlyDubai again!
The worst trip of my life I had an international flight and I was told I’m not allowed to take any of my baggage with me as the airline said you’re not allowed to take more than 7 kg for an international flights coming from Asia that is a shame and I’m gutted to use this and this will be the last time I’ll be using your service. I was also asked to pay $350 for taking my 30 kg luggage with me.
I’m not happy from your sraveing
