TAP Portugal, also commonly known as TAP airlines, was founded in 1945 under the name Transportes Aéreos Portugueses (Portuguese Air Transportations). Today, it is the national flag carrier airline of Portugal and currently comprises the leading airline company in the Portuguese market. The Tap Portugal headquarters are located in Lisbon and the airline has a 77-strong fleet serving 88 destinations across 38 countries worldwide including Africa, North America and South America.
TAP Portugal online check-in is available to passengers 72 hours up to 90 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure. This does not include flights departing to the USA, whereby online check-in is available 24 hours before flight departure, and flights departing from Zagreb, Geneva and Zurich whereby TAP Portugal online check-in is available from 23 hours prior to boarding. Passengers flying TAP with hand luggage may proceed straight to airport security whilst those with luggage to check-in will need to leave their luggage at the airport bag drop-off desk.
TAP Portugal hand luggage allowance varies in accordance with the passenger class of travel. Economy Class travellers are entitled to one item of hand luggage weighing up to 8kg with maximum dimensions of 115cm (55cm x 40cm x 20 cm). Executive Class passengers may carry on-board their flight a maximum of two cabin bags weighing a combined total of 16kg and measuring no more than 115 cm (55cm x 40cm x 20 cm). In addition to their hand luggage allowance, passengers on TAP flights are permitted a small personal item including a handbag, laptop case, mobility aid or medical instruments. Finally, passengers travelling with an infant may bring one baby carrier and baby food. All items of luggage exceeding the aforementioned weight and dimension restrictions will be placed in the hold and an excess baggage fee will apply.
With TAP Portugal, the number of checked-in bags allowed depends on the passengers' class of travel. Economy Class passengers flying TAP are entitled to one item of baggage weighing up to 23kg and measuring 158 cm (height + length + width). However, Executive Class travellers are allowed two items of checked baggage weighing 32kg each. The same dimension restrictions apply. Passengers, who wish, may purchase extra baggage. In accordance with international occupational health and safety standards, bags exceeding 32kg will not be accepted on TAP flights. They will be dispatched as cargo.
The boarding experience was a comedy of errors.

This is a unhappy flying.
Terrible trip in the London underground. Stairs everywhere no lifts for disables or pram pushers.

Some confusion over booking references. First flight was operated by BA, who had their own reference. However, everything seemed to work out OK.
Paid for hold bag yet other passengers had more than one cabin bag
Have a vegetarian option
Missed my flight after I checked in and had enough time to board the plane got held up in security check queues with no help from RAM staff in Casablanca knowing that I'd checked in ....
During my trip with 'tapportugal', from Newark through Lisbon to Gatwick, between 11/08/16 to 12/08/16. After checking in my baggage at tapportugal checking desk at Newark airport with the baggage securely locked with padlock. On my arrival to Gatwick London, I found my baggage padlock broken, leaving the baggage open. I complaint the incident to the baggage enquiry and the local police, whom kindly went through my baggage found out that my 'rosary necklace' is missing, which was in my baggage during the time I checked in my baggage, has been stolen in the airplane. Whom after issued me with reference numbers which u can see above. So therefore I demand an urgent investigation of the investigation, for my; 'rosary necklace and padlock or equivalent amount of their worth please, as matter of urgency.
lack of inflight entertainment made the flight very boring. It looked more like a budget flight
